At Coalition 4 Community children are one the most important components to our organization causes. With over 600,000 children under 18 years in North Carolina who live in poverty stricken households, it is one of the greatest threats to healthy child development. Poverty and financial stress can impede children’s cognitive development and their ability to learn. It can contribute to behavioral, social and emotional problems and poor health.
C4C partners and collaborates with the schools in communities we serve to give incentive to children to stay in school with good attendance and grades to transition from their negative statistics to become well adjusted, healthy and thriving young adults and break the cycle that increases year to year.
Though we contribute with our fun day incentives, awards for good grades and attendance, present an online presence the importance of reading and interactive reading portals, we cannot do this alone. We ask that you the parents, friends, neighbors, businesses also get involved by donating, volunteering and giving to our causes.
